Unlike the classic porcelain tradition, the Bauhaus-inspired Lyngby vase stood back when it was designed in 1936. When the Lyngby porcelain factory was stopped in 1969, the production of the legendary grooved vase. After becoming a coveted collector's item in flea and antique markets, it began its reproduction in 2011. The traditional brand is now under the roof of the Rosendahl Design Group and the collection has grown continuously around the popular vase family. Clear shapes and straightness meet elegant craftsmanship in the vase - this makes it an icon of modern designs. Design, workmanship and feel convince you to look at the quality porcelain is a joy – as a solitaire, in the group and also with other home accessories. Now you only have the spoilt for choice of colours. Lyngby A/S is based in Kirke Såby in Denmark. The brand is known for the iconic design of your vase, which even became a collector's item over time. It impresses with its simple design and is available in various sizes and colours. The brand also includes tea lights, flower pots, sweets and service.

  • Column In Glass: The Lyngby vase draws from the classical column, translating architectural relief into an object that functions as vessel and sculpture in equal measure. Designed in 1936 as a direct counterargument to ornamented porcelain, it carries a hand-printed green monogram on the base confirming its origin.
  • Skill At Every Stage: The vase is mouth-blown, a process that requires trained craft at each step and produces slight wall variation from piece to piece as a natural consequence of how it is made. It stands 8.1 inches tall with a 4.1-inch diameter and is dishwasher safe to 131°F.
  • Midnight In Glass: Midnight blue sits at the deep end of the blue spectrum, close enough to violet that the tone reads differently depending on the light source. In direct light it is saturated and translucent; in lower light it concentrates, with the relief grooves holding near-black lines between each vertical plane.
  • Sculpture First: The vase holds a stem or stands empty with equal authority, and at this colorway the object reads as a considered sculptural placement on a sideboard, dining table, or shelf rather than simply a container waiting to be filled.
  • The Unexpected Blue: Midnight blue is a less obvious choice than a botanical green or a neutral, which is part of its appeal as a gift. The vase arrives in branded Lyngby Porcelaen packaging and suits a housewarming, birthday, or occasion where the recipient collects objects with intention.
